Women's Equality Day. The event will include short talks on the history of suffrage in the United States and current challenges to enfranchisement as well as an update on the Fair Districts = Fair Elections coalition. There will be time for questions. You are permitted to bring snacks but no beverages.

Kick-Off Meeting. Our program year gets off to a great start with Jan Leach, associate professor in the Kent State University School of Journalism and Mass Communication and director of Kent State's Media Law Center for Ethics and Access, speaking on the dilemma of fake news. Leach's workshop titled "Fact or Fake? Bring a dish to share. We'll have table service and beverages. Always a great event to reconnect with members or meet your fellow Leaguers for the first time!

  • Kent charter amendment to become a sanctuary city
  • Kent bond issue for a health and wellness center
  • State Issue 1 to change the state constitution section addressing rights of victims
  • State Issue 2 regulating prescription drug prices
Talk with candidates for Kent City Council and Kent mayor in a small-group setting. You have an opportunity to ask questions.
